How old are you?
Twenty-two, but for some reason every time I say my age, I say twenty-one. After 6 months, you'd think I'd be used to saying twenty-two...

Who is one person that truly inspires you? and why?
My mama. Everything she wants, she goes after wholeheartedly. She has always worked her ass off to make sure she and her kids had a good life. I hope I can someday be as great of a mom as she is.

If you could be any celebrity who would it be? and why?
Honestly, I have no idea. I guess if I had to choose someone, Angelina Jolie, because she's gorgeous, and she's got Brad Pitt.

What is your number one must have makeup product?
Oh geez.. I don't know! Lol. Um, right now I'm really loving my ELF waterproof eyeliner pen. 

What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?
Define "free time" lol. When I'm not working, I love spending time with the boys. Other than family time, I'd say photography is my favorite.

Where did your passion for makeup come from?
Honestly I'd say it came from being a sweetheart. I've always liked makeup, but I never experimented or did much with it before. Then I became a sweetheart and I wanted to learn and do more, so I could be the best representative I could for SSC. That's when it turned into a passion.

What is your biggest insecurity?
Just myself in general. Fear that I'm never going to be good enough in anything I do. I used to be really insecure about my weight, but I'm working on that, (physically and mentally)and I'm not so insecure about it anymore

What is your favorite quote?
Do song lyrics count? Because if so, if's definitely the chorus to Stand by Rascal Flatts. "'Cause when push comes to shove you taste what you're made of, you might bend 'til you break, 'cause it's all you can take, on your knees you look up, decide you've had enough. You get mad, you get strong, wipe your hands, shake it off, then you stand."

If you could tell me one thing everyone should know about you what would it be?
I'm a lover, not a fighter, but I'll fight for what I love.

What is one makeup product you would recommend to everyone?
Any SSC eyeshadow, and ELF's waterproof eyeliner pen.

Photography♥

Til the casket drops by ZZ Ward.

Bright and colorful.

What is your biggest weakness?
Caring too much.

Small time, I'd say MrsElegantBeauty. Seriously, you can pull of any look! It's crazy awesome. Big time, I don't really know. I don't know of many big time makeup people.

What is your favorite thing about being an SSC sweetheart?
Helping my bestie make the best of her company, spreading the word, and just making her dream come true.

Who/What inspires you? (in general, not necessarily makeup-wise)
People who work towards their dreams. The underdogs. Bright colors.

Do you collect anything?
Cupcakes! Not the food, lol, but anything with cupcakes on it. 

If you could meet one person, living or dead, who would it be?

My Interview on Shawna Pitchford from Southern Sweetheart Cosmetics

Just a small town girl with big dreams!

 

 

What age were you when you started wearing makeup? I started wearing make up around 14. I just did basics though. Lol. Started really working with color, blending, etc when I was about 20. I am now 26

If you had to pick one indie company to recommend besides your own, which would it be? Dark Heart Designs … hands down. The customer service is amazing & I have sampled all of her colors. The payoff is awesome. The pigmentation is excellent, they are super light so you don’t feel as if you just put on 20 pounds from your make up.

What is your favorite eyeliner? I love the Stila Smudge Pot from Ulta.

How did your business get started? Honestly I bought the stuff to make eye shadows for myself. Then a friend of mine wanted them & from there Southern Sweetheart Cosmetics was born.

How does makeup affect your life positively? I have found that even if I am having a crummy day if my make up looks good then I feel good about myself. So it helps with my self esteem a lot.

Which celebrity do you most relate your makeup style with? I would have to say Hayley Williams from Paramore. I love how she uses bright colors and isn’t afraid of what people will say.

If you were stranded on a desert island and only had three makeup products with you, what would they be? Cover Girl Perfect Blend eyeliner in Basic Black, Maybelline The Colossal Volum’ Express in black, And probably chapstick. Im a basics kinda girl.

Do you have freckles? If so do you cover them up or let them shine through? Yes I do & I embrace my freckles proudly!

What is your go to foundation? Honestly I do not wear foundation or concealer. It makes my face feel funny.

Lipstick or Lipgloss? I am more of a chapstick kinda girl.

What is your biggest pet peeve in the makeup community? Where do I begin? The cattiness that goes on during contests, the way people complain if they don’t win, the backstabbing that goes on between fellow make up artists & even between owners of Indie companies.

Where do you see your business going in the future? I hope to one day be on the shelves of places like Ulta, being used by Make Up Artists around the globe. Etc but honestly I am happy with the way my business is now as well.

What is your most frequently bought makeup product? Sadly enough its my eyeliner. I wear it even if I don’t go all out & apply color to my lid. Haha.

Do you prefer colorful shadows or neutral ones? I absolutely love bold make up looks so I would have to go with colorful. However there is a time & place where you need to just tone it down & do the natural thing

Do you like drugstore makeup? Heck yes! Lol I don’t really buy much of it anymore since I make my own now but I used to buy one of everything. I had a serious make up problem.

What is your favorite brand of drugstore makeup? I would say my favorite would be Cover Girl.

What brand of makeup brushes do you use most? I have Essence brushes from Ulta. They aren’t really expensive & they work great!

How old are you? I am now 26 years old

Whats your favorite color? Teal or Pink… Mostly Teal

What is makeup to you? To me make up is an art. You can express so much with it. Your moods, individuality, you can even set trends using make up.

MY OPINION!
 I love the designs on the bottles and most of the scents I think they are great for everyone! I enjoy bath and body works over every other scent because they are light and last a long time not over powering!When I use the product I usually spray above myself and walk into it then spray one wrist and rub both together for a long lasting beautiful like scent!

I REALLY ENJOY ALL BATH AND BODY WORKS PRODUCTS. I DON'T HOWEVER LIKE THIS SCENT. I THINK IT IS VERY POWERFUL BUT BELOW YOU WILL FIND ALL OF THE SCENTS AND I AM SURE THERE WILL BE ONE YOU ADORE! I HAVE USED THESE SCENTS FOR YEARS THEY ARE LIGHT AND LOVELY AND LAST A LONG TIME FOR THE PRICE! 

THEY COME HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BY ME! :-)

**Color 1- An eye popping green color called Ninja. Its a beautiful bright green color with a bit of shimmer to it. The shimmer doesn't over power the gorgeous green color which is perfect for me. The color goes on bright and smooth and is perfect for those days when you feeling like adding a burst of fun to your look!** 

**Color 2- A beautiful super shimmery blue called Maverick. Maverick is definitely a color that can make a statement or be blended out for an elegant look. This color is not an over powering kind of blue but a perfect blend of blue and silver. I love to wear it out! Makes for a great smokey eye without using black.**

**Color 3- The show stopping glittery black MiG-28 for those days when I want a sexy and sultry look. I use this color most frequently when I want to do a smokey eye look. It is a very pigmented shadow and when you want your look dark you don't need a lot of this product to do it. I love using it in my crease definitely makes any color I use with it pop so much!**

** Color 4- A super shimmery true silver blast of incredible! This shadow is almost unbelievable it is so sparkly and so bright for a silver. It can make an eye really pop all by itself, be combined with other colors to make a gorgeous smokey look, or it also makes a great highlight color! Its a great universal color. Every girl needs a silver like this in their collection.

**Color 5- A dark lavender with a slight shimmer called Don. I love this color for a laid back pretty look. I love wearing this color with a little bit of Stiletto Steel in the corner of my eye and a bit of MiG-28 in the crease. I wear it with my glasses in a pony tail and just feel gorgeous. Its simple but sweet and is perfect for a more neutral look!**

I received the Here Kitty Kitty nail decals made by Sally Hansen in my Spring VoxBox from Influenster!

 I really like this product I think it is easy to use and came in a super fun pattern.  The price is high I think for one manicure.. Although if you were going to pay for a manicure for a dance or a wedding I think this is the perfect choice for you!

They come in several cute designs but for me only lasted about 2-3 days before chipping! I would recommend these for special occasions but not everyday use due to the price!
